Methodology
Our interdisciplinary team enables us to adopt a mixed-methods approach combining data collection and analysis with semi-structured interviews and scoping reviews of published scholarship.
Updating and supplementing IRCC data
(ONGOING)
Scoping review
Our research project will integrate a multidisciplinary review of the relevant scholarly literature across the disciplines (with particular focus on history, political science, sociology, law, postcolonial and/or Southern theory, and education).
Collaborative Data Collection
We will develop a web application that will enable us to estimate the effects of visa issuance rates on Africa-Canada research collaboration while clarifying factors that may contribute to high refusal rates.
Semi-structured
Expanding our relationships with stakeholders across Canada, we will identify a broad range of people and groups who regularly invite Africa-based researchers.
